2016 – Bryanna Manson
For the Alumni Award for Excellence – College-Bound Recipient.
This Alumni Award is presented to the graduate who, over their secondary school career, has been actively involved in a wide range of school and community leadership activities, while maintaining a high academic standard. The award winner must be accepted into and attend to go to a Canadian college in the fall.
This year’s Alumni College – Bound Scholarship Recipient is Bryanna Manson. In addition to her excellent marks, Bryanna has demonstrated her leadership abilities with the rugby team, the swim team, the Spring Hope food Drive and the Buskerfest.
Bryanna is attending Humber College taking Massage therapy.
The PCSS Alumni Association wishes Bryanna all the best in her future endeavours. We know that Bryanna will represent PCSS well.
2016 – Joe Mattekatt
For the Alumni Award for Excellence – University-Bound Recipient.
This Alumni Award is presented to the graduate who, over their secondary school career, has been actively involved in a wide range of school and community leadership activities, while maintaining a high academic standard. The award winner must be accepted into and attend to go to a Canadian university in the fall.
This year’s Alumni University – Bound Scholarship Recipient is Joe Mattekatt. In addition to his excellent marks, Joe has demonstrated his leadership in the Warrior robotics club at PCSS as president of the club and captain of the VEX robotics team.
Joe says that while he has loved the technical side of things, the best memories that he will have of PCSS are the times he spent with his teammates as the “Robotics Guy”
Joe will be attending Waterloo in Computer Engineering in the fall.

2016 – Laura Paradi
Terry Garbutt Memorial Award
The 2016 $750.00 Alumni Terry Garbutt “Leading Through Innovation” Award Recipient is Laura Paradi.
Laura is being recognized for her efforts in the creation and building of the Wellness Warriors. This group of students has been dedicated to making PCSS a more accepting place for those struggling with their mental health issues. Her most memorable times at Port Credit have been the time she spent managing the Sr. Jazz Band. Laura will be attending Western in the faculty of Social Science. Her dream job sees her as a licensed psychologist in a children`s hospital.
