School Newspapers
High Light
High Light was Port Credit High School's 1940s newspaper. It was published monthly, and initally cost 10 cents per issue. Thanks to the generosity of our graduates, we were able to borrow and digitize the copies you see below. However, we are still missing a number of issues. If you happen to have a copy of High Light that is not in our collection, please consider lending it us so that we can digitize it and add it to this web site for all to enjoy.
Re:Port Credit
Re:Port Credit was Port Credit Secondary School's newspaper in the early and mid 1980s. It was published every two weeks, and was distributed free to the students. The first year (1980) was printed in-house using the school's Gestetner machine. In the fall of 1980, it was outsourced to a local print shop called Willie's Quick Print. These issues have been scanned from the personal collections of Craig Hughes (1982), Bob Yewchuk (1983) and Terry Lankstead (1985).
We've decided to try a little experient - these Re:Port Credit newspapers are presented to you in a new format that gives user an experience that's closer to actually flipping through the pages of a book. Let us know what you think!
